Platinum vs 18 Ct  White Gold? 

There are many factors when deciding between platinum ant 18 ct White Gold. Platinum is the stronger and more durable of the two metals but will still over time just like gold. When gold scratches however a tiny bit of gold is lost with the scratch, whilst with platinum the metal is moved when bumped so it will appear like a scratch but it is the metal that has been every so slightly displaced on the ring.  Another factor is that platinum will always maintain its white colour while18ct white gold can fade over time and require rhodium plating to restore that white lustre.  Platinum is a heavier metal so if you are wanting a slightly weightier ring than platinum is also a good option.  

Whilst both platinum and white gold rings are two exceptional ring choices if price was not a factor platinum would probably be the best option to go for as the level of upkeep over time is less than white gold.
